Photography Exhibition

Theme of the exhibition: NORTH EAST INDIA’S PEOPLE, CULTURE, LANDSCAPES, WILD LIFE, FESTIVALS

1. ELIGIBILITY
The exhibition is open to all Indian people above 18 years of age .

2. SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES
2.1 Photographs must be submitted to the Email ID - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

2.2 Entries should be in JPEG format and at least 15inch wide x 10 inch in height for a horizontal image  with 300 DPI resolution  and vice versa .

2.3 Each participant can submit up to three (3) entries.

2.4 Digital manipulation that distorts the reality of the photos will not be allowed. Only basic enhancements such as sharpening, contrast adjustment, or 
simple cropping will be allowed.

2.5 The Organizers reserve the right to reject entries with incomplete details. The submission deadline is 28th October , 2014, before 11.59pm.

2.6 All submitted materials are non-returnable. The file name for each photograph should be clearly labelled with the participant’s name, and Theme Line. E.g. 
Susan_Singh_Bihu_Dance_of_Assam. 

2.7 Selected entries will be displayed during the 2^nd North East Festival Photo Exhibition at New Delhi from 7^th Nov to 10^th Nov 2014

2.8  Digital participation certificate/s will be provided against the selected entries via E-Mail .

RULES & REGULATIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION:

1. ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to all Indian people above 18 years of age .

2. SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES
2.1 Photographs of not more than 5 MB in size must be submitted via Email ID - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  and the organizers may request for higher resolution images subsequently.
2.2 Entries should be in JPEG format and at least 1600 pixels wide for a horizontal image or 1600 pixels tall for a vertical image with 300DPI res .
2.3 Each participant can submit up to three (3) entries.
2.4 Digital manipulation that distorts the reality of the photos will not be allowed. Only basic enhancements such as sharpening, contrast adjustment, or
simple cropping will be allowed.

3. COPYRIGHT/INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
3.1 Entries must be the original  work of the participant and copyright owner. (Requirements of Model Release / Property Release are as per standard norms )
3.2 The Organizers reserve the right to reproduce any entry in print, broadcast and/or electronic media without requiring the permission of the participant and
without any fee payment. However the photographer will be acknowledged.

4. PRIZES
1st Prize : 2 Nights 3 days Stay at Ri Kynjai Resort at Meghalaya (www.rikynjai.com)
2nd Prize : 2 Nights 3 days at Musa Jungle Retreat at Manas National Park , Assam ( www.musa.in)
3rd Prize : 2 Nights 3 days Stay at Landmark Woods Resort, Kaziranga, Assam (www.thelandmarkhotels.in/Landmark_woods.html)

Terms & Conditions related to prizes :

a) Duration of stay 2 nights three days
b) One double bedded deluxe room (AC) will be provided
c) Complimentary breakfast included
d) Gym, Pool available in Ri kinjai Resort is free of cost
e) Food not included
f) One doubled bedded means two person can stay in the room.
g) Prizes must avail within the stipulated time period mentioned in the respective gift vouchers
Guests must follow the terms & condition of the respective resorts .

5. JUDGING AND RESULTS
5.1 The images will be selected by a panel of judges and their decision is final. No correspondence pertaining to the selection process and decision will be
entertained.
5.2 Entries will be judged based on originality, creativity and relevance to the theme.
5.3 The judging panel reserves the right not to award the prizes if the photographs submitted do not meet the requirements stated in this document.
5.4 Results of the competition will be posted on the North East Festival’s web site and winners will also be notified via Phone or Email.

6. ACCEPTANCE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS
6.1 Submission of entries signifies acceptance of the rules and regulations of the competition.
6.2 While the Organizers will exercise due care during the collection, selection and storage of images, it shall not be held liable for any failure of Email or
destruction of the images.

During North East Festival 2014 , two types of Photographic Event will be held . One will be National Level Photo Contest and another one will be 2^nd North East Festival Photo Exhibition .
